Pumpkins!

If you like it hot, stop over at the Scoville Pepper Bed in the Vegetable Garden. Our pepper display explains that every pepper has a “degree” of heat in the form of capsaicin. The heat is measured in units called Scoville units. The standard green bell pepper has a lowly zero units, but further down the spectrum, is the fiery Caribbean Red Habanera, measuring in at 500,000+ units! Yow!

Moving on to our Giant Veggie Bed, we decided to try our hand at some “giant” varieties and although they may not be as flavorful as the small, baby vegetables, preferred by chefs, they certainly are fun to look at.

We have traditional beds featuring plenty of tomato varieties and potato displays, but don’t forget to check out our Super Vitamins bed. These vegetables have a higher vitamin quotient; the ones your doctor tells you to get more servings of per day. In addition, we have a beginner’s bed; this bed is perfect for the novice gardener just starting out on their “green venture.”
