As you enter the gardens from the Visitors Center, the North Scalloped Garden is your first stop. Moving on to the Fountain Garden , you are at the focal point of two dramatic vistas, extending from the Visitors Center to the Rock Garden and from the Green Garden to the Douglas Fir Garden.

In early spring, this stately garden exhibits a profusion of flowering trees such as magnolias and a variety of flowering shrubs. The Green Garden is a serene spot enhanced by a variety of foliage textures and hues of gray and green.

In late fall the contrast of the red berries against the deep green of the yew and boxwood brings a Christmas atmosphere to this garden. The Linden and Euonymus Collection borders the walk to the west.
