The Herb
Garden, which is hemmed in by our vast basil collection of over 13
varieties, features colorful mixed beds with flowers sprinkled
here and there to create a vivid and unusual herb display.
The first
colorful exhibit to grab your attention is The Big Ten College
Color Show. The flowers we have selected coordinate with the Big
Ten College’s school colors. Contained in the center of the herb
garden is a raised bed featuring a miniature dioramic scene,
complete with buildings and vehicles in scale with the plants.
On to the Basic Ten Bed - here you will see the most popular herbs
and most likely, some of your favorites used in food preparation.
A must see, is the Tea Garden where you will find featured herbs
that can be steeped to make aromatic and flavorful herbal teas.
A visit to the herb garden is sure to inspire new ideas for
edible, yet decorative plants to add to your garden borders. |
