Octagon Gardens

Located on the far eastern end of the main garden path leading to the Mansion, the Octagon Garden is a three-season garden. With a Weeping Japanese Crabapple tree as its center point, the eight large flowerbeds in this garden demonstrate three growing seasons. When the Weeping Crabapple is in full bloom in the spring, the garden is resplendent with thousands of tulip bulbs, usually peaking around Mother’s Day. During the summer months you’ll find annual flowers demonstrating spectacular color and textural designs.  Autumn transforms the garden yet again with displays of garden mums, ornamental kale and other cold-tolerant annual flowers.
