Entries must be submitted no later than Friday,
December 5, 2008. Submit your
perfect photo—an image shot on the grounds of Cantigny featuring any
subject. Photos do not have to be recent, they can be from any year.
You are limited only by your creativity, but here are a few
guidelines to keep in mind:

All entrants must be amateurs—no professionals (as
defined as receiving compensation for work).

All ages are welcome to participate.

Please note on the back of the photo your name,
address, and phone number, date photo was taken, who is in the
picture (if anyone), what the subject(s) are doing, and/or where the
photo was taken on the grounds.

Entries must be submitted no later than Friday,
December 5, 2008 and can be submitted by slide or print, but entries
should include the negative. If an entry is from a digital camera
(preferably from a 3.0 or greater mega pixel camera), pictures can
be submitted on a CD.

The actual submission must include a print, slide
or a CD no E-mail files. This facilitates judging and allows the
judges to view the submission without the need for a computer.

We will accept photos in color or black and white,
using a minimum size of 3”x 5” up to a maximum of 8”x 10”.

The photo may be cropped as the submitting
photographer prefers.

The image must not have been digitally altered in
any way other than necessary cropping.

To ensure your non-placing photo is returned,
please include a self-addressed-stamped envelope with entry form.

All entries will be juried and 20 entries will be
selected for display in the Visitors Center Gallery for all of 2009.

All selected entries will be enlarged and
professionally framed at our expense and returned to the artist at
the end of the year.

All 20 entries selected for display will receive a
free annual parking pass.

The 20 photos selected and on display, will be
voted on by the public for their favorite from February 1, 2009
until December 4, 2009, the top three favorites will receive a
prize.
